Asia’s economic growth remained strong in 2018, helping several of the region’s emerging markets post positive percentage rises in life insurance gross written premium for the year. Growth in embedded value (EV) was positive across almost all Asian markets. This report compares and contrasts the various different approaches taken to EV reporting across Asian markets and insurers.
